If you suspect a water leak in your property first contact plumber on tap for immediate advice.
You should not ignore signs of damp. This might be an early indication that something has failed and an early intervention is always better than a costlier repair further down the line.
In the first instance I would ask for a few details in order to try and help you immediately. It might be necessary to drain water tanks or turn off stopcocks and I will talk you through the procedure to limit the effects of escaping water.
Plumber on tap offers a 24 hour emergency call out service. The response time to your emergency request will depend upon where I am in relation to you at that time. Emergency response coverage is also restricted to an area within a 45 minute drive time of Worthing.
If the damage caused by the leak is to be the subject of a buildings insurance claim then a full insurance report and repair estimate can be provided. An initial repair can be carried out to ensure that water supply can be restored to your home as soon as possible.
Any reinstatement works can be carried out during a follow up visit within the normal working day.
Project Description
Severe water damage had caused the fabric of the walls within the shower to rot away. After initial inspections the shower was totally re modeled with new timber stud work, and the wall tiling replaced with decorative Multipanel shower panels. The works included fitting a slimline shower tray, building of a shower seat and fitting a new shower door. The cubicle was in the roof space and had a two way hip join, the pattern in the paneling was cut to match.
Client Feedback
Very happy with the result, the Multipanel shower panels look great and look good alongside the existing bathroom wall tiles and I am delighted with the result. The damage caused by the hidden water leak was extensive.
